Alternative to using a Buck Converter (although this is technically a Buck Converter).
I made this to power my Raspberry Pi using a conventional USB cable. Just makes life easier. Can even charge your phone from your printer if the printer uses your only power outlet.
I used the following USB PSU that is 12v/24v, so I've connected it to the 24v PSU of the printer. Others will obviously fit too, you'll just have to check the dimensions.
I tapped the holes in the housing with an M3x5 tap, this is optional as the screws will self tap. Just makes it nicer to put together.
I decided to use screws instead of push fit as I always find that push fit tends to break or become weak over time. The screws keep everything held together nicely.
Will obviously fit any other printer with a 4040 extrusion, but I only have an Ender 3V2 to test on.
You'll need 4x M3 button head bolts/screws.
Holes in the end cap for cables and smaller ones to act as a vent.
Hope it's of some use to you, this is my first creation so go easy on me in the comments lol.
Don't forget to post your makes!!
